SO, WHAT IS EFT?
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also known as 'tapping', is a powerful stress reduction tool that is gaining widespread recognition for its effectiveness, gentleness and ease of use.
It is based on elements of psychology - namely exposure therapy and cognitive therapy - combined with the somatic stimulation of acupressure points, which have been shown to have a calming effect on the parts of the brain associated with stress, intense emotion and memory.
​When we combine tapping on the acupressure points with a focus on a specific target thought or memory, we effectively break the habitual stress response that is associated with that particular thought or memory.
